Airplane Pilot Training

Unlike schools that only offer ground school, or others that only offer Part 141 flight training at the Private Pilot level, We offer many pilot licenses and ratings that pilots can choose to pursue through our programs. Our helicopter and airplane training is all Part 141.

We value safety and education above all other considerations. You can participate as a student in the following programs while flying at Space Coast Regional Airport:

  • Private Pilot (PPL)

  • Instrument Rating (IR)

  • Commercial Pilot (CPL)

  • Certified Flight Instructor (CFI)

  • Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII)

We hold safety and maintenance at the highest level. Our maintenance facility is an approved FAR Part 145 repair station that is approved by the FAA. All USATS aircraft are maintained by professional maintenance personnel located on-site at Space Coast Regional Airport.

 

We have top of the line Diamond and Cessna aircraft in our fleet each with cutting edge technology.

 

Our airplanes are constantly inspected and are equipped with Garmin G1000 and GFC700 Automatic Flight Control Systems. This combination makes for a smooth transition from single-engine to multi-engine, and then to the airlines if that is your ultimate goal.

USATS Training Program

Our Professional Pilot Program is fully FAA approved offering all training needed to transition from rotor to airplane pilot!

 

There are additional requirements to keep separate records of your training at the flight school in a training folder, as well as the records made in your personal logbook. Other requirements also include:

  • Carefully following an FAA-approved syllabus (training course outline)

  • Taking additional quizzes and tests

  • Three evaluation flights, called Stage checks, with the Chief Flight Instructor

Syllabus-based training has been proven to be the most beneficial and cost-effective method of learning. It gives the student a gauge on his/her progress thus eliminating the need for unnecessary and costly lessons. For someone who has the ability to maintain an intense training schedule, they will have the opportunity to complete Private Pilot training in approximately 50 Academic Hours and 37 Flight Hours under our Program.

You can participate as a student in the following programs while flying at Space Coast Regional Airport:

  • Private Pilot  Airplane (PPL-A)

  • Instrument Rating Airplane (R-A)

  • Commercial Pilot (CPL-A) Single Engine Rating

  • Commercial Pilot (CPL-A) Multi-Engine Rating

 

We also offer additional pilot training for hour building as an instructor:

  • Certified Flight Instructor (CFI)

  • Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII)

Part 61 course hours for training are no less than the minimums required under Part 141 for each course of instruction. The numbers will be higher than the Part 61 requirements because we don’t change the way we instruct. All our courses, be it Part 61 or 141, are taught with the same philosophy and personalization. To us, you are not just a number. We never lose sight of the knowledge that you are a direct reflection of our teaching style and overall training program.
